Which material for which job
Viscose is the classic all-purpose cloth. The fibre takes up a lot of water, so one pass clears a large puddle. That makes it the first choice for wet floors in washrooms, kitchens and corridors, and for mopping up spills quickly.
Cotton deals better with stuck-on dirt. The coarser structure gives a scouring action, so caked-on dirt comes away more easily than with viscose. For heavily soiled industrial floors and workshops, cotton is therefore the logical choice. We supply two qualities: a smooth one and one with a coarse structure for the heaviest work.
Microfibre is the finest of the three. The split fibres pick up dirt mechanically, so you get a result even without detergent. That saves on purchasing and prevents soap residue, which attracts dust all over again.
50x60 or 50x70 centimetres
The size determines how much water you take with you per pass. 50x60 centimetres is the size that fits the common mop clamps and is used most often. The XXL of 50x70 is wider and heavier when full of water, but you finish faster on large areas.
Singly or by the hundred
You buy a single cloth when you are replacing a worn one. If you run a cleaning team, the box of a hundred works out cheaper per cloth and stops you running out halfway through the week.
Washing and service life
- Wash at 60 degrees maximum for viscose and cotton.
- No fabric softener it seals the fibres, after which the cloth takes up nothing.
- Do not wash with linting textiles especially not with microfibre.
- Air drying extends the service life.

Why does my floor cloth no longer take up water?
Almost always fabric softener. It leaves a film around the fibre. Washing a few times without softener sometimes helps, but not always.
How often should I replace a floor cloth?
When it visibly thins, starts to fray or noticeably takes up less. With daily professional use that is sooner than with use at home.
Do these cloths fit a mop clamp?
The 50x60 size fits the common clamps. The XXL of 50x70 is intended for larger holders or for loose use in the hand.
